Around 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland found themselves without power on the start of the week after intense storm systems passed over the region, producing wind gusts topping over 100 km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Extensive Destruction
Residents observed large ice chunks as large as 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by large hailstones.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this week as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
